CONEMO Project

The aim of this study is to deploy the use of an app to reduce mental health symptoms, notably anxiety, depression, and insomnia, which are highly prevalent in Brazil and worldwide. For low- and middle-income countries, the lack of specialized mental health resources presents an additional significant challenge. In this context, digital interventions have shown promise, and the CONEMO app stands out as a scalable and accessible solution.

Statistical analysis will be used to assess the efficacy of the treatment, with particular attention to symptom reduction. In addition, qualitative data will be collected through interviews in order to understand the barriers and facilitators to intervention. It is expected that the deployment of the app will extend access to treatment, reduce the excessive workload in primary healthcare units, and receive positive evaluations from participants. Drawing on their previous experience in similar studies, researchers will provide a valuable contribution to the success of the project.
