University Students’ Mental Health
The goal is to implement a comprehensive mental health program at universities to enhance student well-being, provide academic accommodations for neurodivergent students, and establish a mental health identification and counseling center. Studies show high rates of mental health conditions among university students, including suicidal ideation, while the lack of effective programs remains a growing concern. We will implement evidence-based interventions adapted from other programs to foster students’ mental well-being and provide them with appropriate support. Moreover, we will evaluate the impact of these interventions through a comprehensive set of self-assessment tools and work to replicate the model at other universities. The project also includes training students in mental health and leveraging digital technologies to streamline screening and evaluation.
